These films were made as part of the Decommissioning Shapewear project for the Feminist Times. It all began with Charlotte dangerously burning shapewear in her garden in order to ‘take it out of service’. It soon grew into a group of artists making new creations from spandex items.
These toast racks were designed around 1880 by Christopher Dresser.
I think Picasso would have been impressed if he had looked up to the ceiling and seen these painted tiles, especially the painting of the bull.
